About Us.

Hi, we're the Eastmonds. Rob, Amy, James, Elli, Emma, and Jake. We love to work together, play together, and just be family together. We are beginning a new adventure. We are moving from the city life to the country life, and are anxious to share our experiences along the way. We will be learning how to be more self sufficient through gardening efforts, raising animals, and trying new energy sources while becoming more green. We love our world, and want to be able to use it better and safer as it has been given to us from our Heavenly Father. We are very blessed because of our beliefs in our savior Jesus Christ. We hope you enjoy our blog, and hope to hear from you again!

More Spring Fun- Elli Sports and Band- Apr. and May

This was Elli's first year in band. She has been using my flute from when I started in 6th grade. She has really enjoyed it.
This was her spring concert.

Elli also was on her school's track team this year. She took fourth place in the mile. Way to go.

This was Elli's 2nd year playing softball. She loves it. It happened to overlap with track, for a month or so, so it was hectic, but fun.

In the middle of all of this, she was asked to play on a Sophmore basketball team for Spring Fling Tournament. She did very well and there were only 2- 7th graders chosen to play on this team. Those few months were extremely busy for her/us. Good experience though. She got to play with and meet the Highschool team and coaches. Way to Jimmer!!

SPRING BREAK in St. Georgeous!! April

Beautiful Gunlock!
Gunlock is a reservoir. Coming out of the reservoir is this beautiful Oasis in the middle of the desert!

From what I understand, it is rare to be able to see this Oasis with all the water. It only happens during the spring run-off.
The run-off only lasts a few weeks or so and it is not always this wet either. Luckily for us, we went there at the perfect time to see such a rarity! I was so excited to see it. It was amazing!

Jake enjoying the water thoroughly!!

Emma playing in the water

Our own Lion King with cub Jake

James enjoying all the waterfalls and pools!

Isn't that amazing!!

Elli loving being able to climb everywhere and explore.

A cool pool. James in the shadow taking the pic. Kinda cool to see his shadow.

James and water!!

More pools.

Fun to see how they all enjoyed the rocks and water so much. The climbing was perfect for all my little and big climbers.

mom and dad enjoying the day with us!

They all had to cross this wide section of water to get over to all the waterfalls and pools and the fun stuff. They all did it. I didn't dare though.

Such a cool waterfall!

Truly incredible!

Loving every minute of it!

Cute of Emma and Jake!

Getting ready to cross over.

Cute Elli!

We took several family shots to try to find one for Christmas pics hopefully. I like this one a lot, by the waterfall.

Cool backdrop with one or two of the few trees there.

More with tree, just a different angle.

And still another. Thanks mom for taking all these and being patient with us.

Leaving beautiful Gunlock!

On to the petroglifs (sp) at a cool park.

It was amazing to see how many there were.

It was kind of a long hike, but the kids had fun! I was so glad we did that!

A person and a sun or moon or something.

Lightning or a snake or something. Who knows. Cool how they tried to draw what they saw. Thanks mom and dad for such a fun time even though it was too short of a stay. Hopefully we can come back in the summer!

James MMHS PROM! "A Night To Remember" - April

James and his friend Cole (who moved but still wanted to keep MMHS connections) Finally decided to get brave and ask some girls to prom. They decided to ask their friends from school. (who are sisters)
This was delivered (by Elli) to their house. So they waited and waited for answers. Finally the girls answered. Laura, who James asked, had already been asked. Michelle, said yes. I suppose they had never really anticipated that outcome, so James was now looking to find another date. And He did. Kelsey, a friend from seminary. This is how he asked her. (He sent me to the school with these, while he was at the Robotics Regionals in SL. He was gone for 2 days and then it was Spring Break. So he did not receive an answer until right before prom, because he had not left her a way to contact him while he was gone. I am very glad it all worked out. So is he.

Flowers and Chocolate. What could be better?

This was his "mad lib", sort of trivia way to ask her. I thought it was hilarious and very creative. She must have liked it too, because she said yes.

She had a friend come into seminary blowing a trumpet and read this "Proclamation" (medieval like) paper to everyone in seminary. I soooo wish I could have been a fly on the wall to see his face. He said that she said, he turned beet red. She answered so cute and creatively! We knew it was going to be a "Night to Remember".

Just before dinner in downtown Provo, across the street from where they ate dinner. (At Gloria's Little Italy- a most delicious Italian restauraunte)

At the house after Promenade, before dinner and dancing up at Sundance. There could not have been a more perfect place for Prom. (I just had to have a stair picture, I'm cheesy like that.)

At Promenade, at the school. A time for parents to come and get photos, when they announce the names of the couples.

Promenade with Cole and Michelle

Soooo Handsome!! Being the musician he is, he just HAD to get a tux with tails. I wouldn't have picked anything different for him either. He looked so sharp!! Just look at his face!

The GQ pose. Very striking "Knights in Shining Tuxes"!

The very Cute couples!! Earlier in the day, they went to the park and played "Extreme Croquet", had a picnic with sparkling cider and strawberries dipped in chocolate. They also got rained on, so they came back to our house to get out of the rain and played games. A very fun day and a wonderful "Night to Remember"!!
