TREK- June

I've always wanted to go on trek as a ma with Rob. This year, I got to go with Rob and James. It was truly amazing. What an experience. We honor our pioneers! They were such great examples of faith and devotion to a righteous cause. Freedom to worship and reach Zion, that they may fully partake of the temple covenants.
The company getting ready for the big day. The 1st day, we walked about 5 miles and the 2nd day we walked about 10 miles. It was long and hard, but so worth it. I was blessed to be able to go and do it, even though I had a torn meniscus.

More dancing. All in all, everyone had a good time. It was hard, but an amazing spritual experience. So glad we could go. Hopefully we can go again with all our kids.

This is a really fun field trip. They let the kids push and pull handcarts around a little trail. There are tons of little shops, houses, and pioneer activities. Great to see what an actual town would have been like as a pioneer.

They all learned how to write their names in the Deseret Alphabet. An alphabet based on letter and word sounds, created for the pioneers, since they all came from such different places, so they could have a common language to communicate easier.

Jake's Spring Excitement- Apr., May, and June

Jake has been waiting for a whole year to lose a tooth. He finally lost his first tooth! Now he can get his paper tooth up on the wall at school. Big deal for kids!

For the last week of school, they had Spirit Week. One of the days was crazy hair day. Jake found this wig in our Halloween box and came down that morning all ready. I had no idea we even had this wig. He had the whole week all planned out before I even knew about it.

After traveling all day by car on thurs. we decided that Fri. we were gonna do some sightseeing. We went to SanFrancisco.
We took a fairy over there. One of the highlights for my kids!

We took a long walk all along the pier from 1 to 39 or whatever the end is. All along the way we saw fun street performers like this guy who seriously looked like a robot at first. Kinda freaked us out when we found out he was real. Cool though.

After the Pier, we took a trip to Ghiradelli Square. Yummy! Then we took a trolley ride. 1st time for kids to ride a trolley.

Then Saturday was the wedding. This pretty pond was at the Bed and Breakfast where the wedding was. The grounds were beautiful. Surrounded by flowers, trees, pond, fields and very peaceful. A perfect place for a wedding. The food was so delicious too!

After the wedding, we decided to go to the beach. It was super cold so we didn't swim but plenty of kids got very wet anyway.
