About Us.

Hi, we're the Eastmonds. Rob, Amy, James, Elli, Emma, and Jake. We love to work together, play together, and just be family together. We are beginning a new adventure. We are moving from the city life to the country life, and are anxious to share our experiences along the way. We will be learning how to be more self sufficient through gardening efforts, raising animals, and trying new energy sources while becoming more green. We love our world, and want to be able to use it better and safer as it has been given to us from our Heavenly Father. We are very blessed because of our beliefs in our savior Jesus Christ. We hope you enjoy our blog, and hope to hear from you again!

Tournament and Advancement For Jake- February and March

Jake competed in his 1st tournament for tae kwon do, where he had to do proper form, sparring, and an event where they fight with sticks. I forgot the name.

Congratulations!

He placed in the event I can't remember the name, but he got medals for the other events also. He did great for his 1st time.

Happy Kid! Good Job!

This is when he advanced to green/white belt.

Christmas 2010

All the 1st grade performed fun songs at Mapleton's "Lights On" ceremony. With Santa, doughnuts and cocoa after. Very cute!
Jake with Santa at the ceremony.

Jake with glasses for his "Reindeer Rap" song! Sooo cute!

Emma singing at her choir performance at the beautiful Provo Tabernacle one week before it burned!
The beautiful Tabernacle. Check out Emma, top left, second one in. Her mouth in perfect O as she is singing.

Tabernacle with stained glass windows in back. I am so glad we got these pictures. How sad to see such an amazing structure burn.

We decided to try to cut our own tree down this year. Unfortunately we never found one we liked. This is Jake in his make-shift boots.

We had to go down this deep ravine and it was very slippery.

The girls crossing back over the ravine.

Looking for a tree.
We ended up getting a tree at the nursery at end of our street again. We've had good luck with those trees. We love them. It's kinda tradition now.

Our beautiful and fragrant tree!

Thanksgiving 2010

Emma, Gentry, and Maisy put on a play depicting the true meaning of, and how Thanksgiving was created! Being thankful and sharing our bounties with others.
Pie from our pumpkins we grew! Nothing even compares to real pumpkin pie! Homemade crust too from a pie making class our RS had.

Delicious Turkey! Maybe next year we will raise our own turkeys.
Elli just loves preparing the turkey!

Family and friends!
What a wonderful day!
